3 REASONS WE LOVE HARDWOOD FLOORS

3 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE HARDWOOD
FLOORS FOR YOUR NEXT PROJECT

HARDWOOD HAS A GOOD STORY

Hardwood is a natural material that requires less water and energy to produce than other flooring products. Hardwood flooring is the most abundantly renewable flooring material available.

Typical manufacturing processes for floor coverings result in waste. In the hardwood process, left over wood chips and sawdust can be used to produce paper and other wood composite products. This helps minimize waste.

Wood requires the least amount of energy to produce. Carpet, linoleum, and other floor finishes require considerably more energy and chemicals to produce.

Left-over raw materials and chemicals used in manufacturing process of these other finishes can have an adverse effect on the environment.

Even when wood flooring becomes damaged or just needs to be replaced, there are many ways for it to be recycled. Reclaimed wood has grown in popularity. Wood is also biodegradable and can be burned for fuel.

IT’S A BEAUTIFUL PRODUCT

Hardwood is one of the most beautiful types of flooring available. Hardwood comes in many colors and styles from rustic, traditional and modern. There are many grades and finishes available allowing you to create to most custom look for your space.

With proper care and maintenance, wood floors can last over 100 years.

Hardwood can also be refinished and stained if needed to restore a like-new finish. Other floor finishes have much shorter life spans and cannot be restored to their original looks.

EASY TO MAINTAIN

Hardwood flooring requires lower maintenance compared to other flooring products.

Other finishes can require regular stripping, waxing and polishing and deep cleaning. Hardwood is quite easy to maintain by just sweeping and damp mopping. If hardwood were to be scratched or scuffed, this can be easy to repair by sanding and refinishing. Unlike carpeting, if it were stained, it would need to be replaced. There is little or no need to replace hardwood.
